Faith · Family · Story
Author of faith-rooted books for the whole family. From the children at her feet to the woman doing the raising — every page has a place for you.
A Note Before You Browse
Every children’s book Mellanie authors is written with two readers in mind.
The child holding the pages. And the grown-up reading them out loud.
We live in homes where everyone is present and no one is together. Same roof. Different rooms. Different screens. These books give families a reason to sit down, lean in, and meet God in the same moment.
These are not books to hand a child and walk away from. They are books to open together — because the mama reading it out loud is receiving something too.
Books
Each title in this collection was born from a table, a garden, and a quiet conviction that identity shapes everything.

About Mellanie
Some people carry their testimony quietly. Mellanie T. Grier tends hers like a garden.
She is a faith-based author, speaker, and founder of Tend the Soil Publishing — built on the conviction that the right book in the right family’s hands is a generational investment. She writes for the woman, the wife, the mama at the table — and the children she disciples. Her work lives at the intersection of post-baptism identity, home discipleship, and the everyday conversations families are already having.
A homeschooling mama of two in the Georgia foothills, Mellanie lives the work she writes about. When she is not writing, she is tending her greenhouse and raised beds, casting a line at sunrise, or creating something beautiful with her hands.
She believes the same God who grows gardens grows people — and that faithfulness, not perfection, is the only soil worth working.
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

Summer showed up fast in our house.
The backpacks have not moved far from the corner because one of my students is still finishing up his courses. But all is not lost. We still have plenty of open days ahead of us.
In our homeschool, we learn year-round and most times, only take a few weeks off between terms (depending on how much of a break MAMA needs). Summer gives my kids room to try something without it being assigned — a project, a goal, or even a business idea they have been sitting on since January.
One of the tools that makes that kind of summer possible for us is Tuttle Twins.
These books have lived on our shelf for a while now. My kids pick them up on their own. They bring ideas from them into real conversations. That alone tells me they are doing what good books should do.
This fall, we will be using the Tuttle Twins Economics books to supplement some of our learning around the middle of our school year.
Check them out and learn with us!
